Rolex 24 at Daytona
American actor, Patrick Dempsey, who plays Dr. McDreamy oftelevision's Grey's Anatomy, is looking to follow Paul Newman, Steve McQueen and James Garner's path into auto racing. Dempsey raced his car in his third Rolex 24 at Daytona in the #40 Dempsey Racing Mazda RX-8 and finished 13th overall and sixth in the GT class with co-drivers Joe Foster and Charles Espenlaub. Dempsey is a dedicated race car driver who is collecting fans from his track racing.

2010, The 50th Anniversary of the American Bugatti Club

The Monterey Historic Automobile Races will host the Bugatti Grand Prix with an International Field of cars

The Club is looking to have 50 Bugattis diving through the Laguna Seca Corkscrew."

The International Bugatti Rally will start in Monterey on August 16, 2010, run to San Francisco, down the California coast through Big Sur then along historic Route 1 finishing in Oxnard on August 22 at the Mullin Automotive Museum. More... -pdf

Mercedes-Benz and McLaren has reached the finish line. The Mercedes-Benz SLR looks like it has reached the END? It is reported that the last examples of the Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss are currently being built, ending the era of the SLR super sports car from Mercedes-Benz and McLaren. In 2004, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren jointly set out to continue the story of the legendary SLR racing sports cars of the 1950s with their swing-wing Coupe. Five exciting versions of the SLR have been produced, two coupes, two roadster models and ending with the SLR Stirling Moss. The SLR Stirling Moss limited edition of 75 examples is the final chapter of this modern SLR story. a total of 2000 SLR models have been produced to date.

The Ferrari F40 Reunion Group
to join Concorso Italiano in celebrating 20 Years of the Ferrari F40 in the USA. This is the second reunion of Ferrari supercars to be held at Concorso. The first Ferrari supercar, the 288 GTO held its 25th anniversary reunion at Concorso in 2009. A world record was set by the GTO owners for the largest gathering of 288 GTO's in one location. The 288 successor is the iconic F40. The Concorso will host the F40 owners for their reunion, and spokesman and owner Jas Dhillon, notes they have aspirations to; "Our goal is to have well over forty F40s on the fairways at Laguna Seca Golf Ranch this August 13th and we hope that fans and enthusiasts will plan to join us for this historic occasion."

Bentley's new flagship the Mulsanne, is being created in Bentleys new 7,500 sq m Assembly Center where the body of a pre-production Mulsanne requires 125 man-hours to create. The Mulsanne's solid appearance without visible panel seams requires crafting a hand-brazed seam midway down the D-pillar. This is impossible in volume car manufacturing and is done by Bentley's award-winning craftsmen, who have the rare distinction of an award from the British Institute of Sheet Metal Engineering.
